Srinagar's station is at Nowgam on the southern edge of the city, 10 km from Lal Chowk and about 14 km from Dal Lake. Budgam station, used by some services, is 12 km further out. Since the Katra–Srinagar line opened, Vande Bharat and other trains bring travellers directly from Jammu and Katra, and a pre-booked cab at the exit is the easiest way into the city.

As with the airport, your station pickup is the first day of your trip and the day rate covers your sightseeing afterwards.
